I had my tubes tied about 4 months ago. I also have PCOS. This is the 3rd time I've had my period since then, and besides my normal livable cramps, I got this TERRIBLE stabbing pain in my ovaries. I was so bad, it had me doubled over on the couch, and I had to take a Vicodin to make it go away. As of right now, it's still hurts when I move. Livable, but still annoying.

Yes, I read about post-tubal ligation syndrome before deciding to have my surgery, but decided it was worth the risk. My mom had her tubes tied, and told me she had this problem too for about a year, but it finally went away.

My concern is the cause. I'm afraid I might have developed some bad cysts since I have PCOS, but it could also just be pains from my still healing surgery. I didn't have this problem with my last 2 periods! Anyone who has had there tubes tied, did this happen to you, and did it eventually stop? I don't like the idea of having to take Vicodin every time my period shows up. Thanks!

This stabbing pain you are feeling is soooo normal  I wish my dr. warned me about because I was worried too.  Its been a year since my tubal and I will still feel the ovary stabbing pain once in a while during ovulation.  It does eventually get better. Don't be worried.  If you are worried about cysts, just know that most go away on their own and if you have the syptoms after 2 or 3 months I suggest going back to your dr. just to make sure.  Good luck with everything
I'm hoping to get a breast augmentation done in about 3 weeks. I've done a LOT of research about it but I just want to know from women who have done it. I know everything from pain to healing time varies from person to person but I would like to know your personal answers. Serious answers only please.

1. How long ago did you have it done?

2. How old were you?

3. Did you get saline or silicone?

4. Under the muscle?

5. How many days passed until you went back to work?

6. What hurt the most during your recovery period? (ex: arms, groin)

7. How much did you pay?

8. Were you happy with the results

9. What size were you before and after?

10. Anything else you would like to add?

Thanks

1. Almost 2 years ago, May of 2006.

2. I was 21 years old.

3. Saline, 425 cc

4. Under the muscle, transaxillary

5. 14 days for light work, one month before I felt normal.

6. Taking the bra off, gravity was pulling down on my breasts and they hurt so bad, it felt like my heart was being ripped out of my chest

7. $7500

8. Very happy, it was worth the pain and money

9. 34 small B before and 34 large D after

10. It is totally worth it. Make sure your surgeon is board certified and reputable. Choose an incision and size that will be proportionate and work for you lifestyle. Do not worry about anyone that may judge you or make comments. Love your body and do it for yourself, if others want to judge then they have their own problems. Good luck and enjoy your new boobies!!!!!!!!!!

what is a augmentation

I don't know any specific answers, but my sister had this done and has only had problems. So bad they had to remove one!

I am only 4 days post-op, but I'll add my input anyway:

1. Wednesday, April 2, 2008.

2. 19 years old.

3. Saline

4. Submuscular.

5. I have requested off an entire week, and expect to only need a couple more days after that.

6. The first day my boobs hurt the worst due to the tight bandages and with the swelling. Each day I have gotten increasingly better, but mostly it is due to taking my pills on time and icing often.

7. I payed $6,600, excluding prescriptions and lab fees.

8. I am already very pleased even after four days. They look amazing!

9. 34A to a full C. Exact measurement unknown until fitting on Wednesday.

10. Make sure you think long and hard about your incision site. I went transaxillary and couldn't be happier. i suggest combining that with a submuscular placement, and don't forget to have your surgeon overfill them; the implants are meant to be overfilled. And mostly, enjoy them!
Reacting with intense emotions, extreme irritation and anger followed by depression, headache probably brought on my raised blood pressure, sobbing, upset stomache which has continued for 24hours after initial "blowing" of my top. Then...I start my period! Well THAT explains a lot! I can guarantee that most of my issues are hormone related but what hormone is it that causes a relatively sane person to fall off the edge into such an irrational state of emotional chaos?

For my wife it was not a hormone that caused all of that to happen.

As best I can tell "Wedding Cake" was to blame.

That would be our good friend estrogen!  The levels go up during your period.

Well don't know which hormone, but I find that a balanced diet, keep away from junk food helps me with mood swings.

I also find that having something really exciting to look forward to seems to keep me on an even keel.

Best thing is to walk away as soon as you feel your adrenalin start to rise.

Evening Primrose Oil capsules works for some people.

Ask your doctor to check out your thyroid function.

ever since i started my period i been discharging like EVERY day....is it still discharge if its yellow? cuz i get yellow stuff and white....and i already asked my doctor she said its normal but im still worried..is this normal though people???

http://www.***.org/teen/health/femalehe...

This site has some good information. I'd highly recommend it.

Totally normal!

You can even tell when you're fertile by your discharge-- it looks like egg white and is stretchy. When you're not fertile, it turns sticky and opaque.

it's discharge if it's yellow.

and yes, it's normal.

eventually you will have less of it.

nup i dont think it should be yellow (thats really just because mines never yellow tho) but if the doc said so u should be fine

There should be no need for worry unless the discharge has an odor. If it does, then you might want to see your doc. If the discharge is bothersome, use a pantyliner.

yeah don't worry I was freaked out as well when it started happening to me. It washes out so there is no problem hun don't sweat it.

:)

Its totally normal. Listen to your doctor, I'm sure she knows what she is talking about.

I wish i knew about this website when i was younger www.***.com it helps you chart your period and discharge, hopefully you'll start seeing a pattern and will know what discharge means what...

(you don't have to be trying to concieve to go on this website)
How can you tell the difference between implantation bleeding and regular spotting just before you bleed? I know women who have said that they had something like a period (light to medium spotting) just before they were supposed to/scheduled to have a period when they found out they were pregnant.

When are you suppose to start? If its just in a few days, then yes spotting can be normal. Especially if you are on birth control and you have missed a pill or late one day.
