Female Question?

Ok dont wanna sound nasty.. but i have a bad odor coming from my vagina... is this a yeast infection? I dont have it all the time n I take 2 showers a day...but i want to know if it could be a yeast infection

Vaginal odor has many possible causes.

The most common cause of vaginal odor is bacterial vaginosis, resulting from an overgrowth of organisms normally present in the vagina. The odor — usually a "fishy" smell — may be more obvious after sexual intercourse. Other signs and symptoms of bacterial vaginosis include vaginal itching or irritation, and a grayish-whitish vaginal discharge. Treatment of bacterial vaginosis may include antibiotics.

Another common cause of vaginal odor is poor hygiene. It is a good idea to wash your external genital area during regular baths or showers. Use a very small amount of mild, unscented soap and lots of water. Douching isn't necessary. All healthy vaginas contain some bacteria and other organisms. The normal acidity of the vagina keeps bacteria and yeast in check. But douching can actually upset this delicate balance.

Other less common causes of vaginal odor include:

   * "Losing" a tampon in your vagina. This occurs when a tampon rises to the upper part of the vagina and lodges there. A forgotten tampon can result in a vaginal infection, which can produce an unpleasant odor.

   * Rectovaginal fistula. Trauma during childbirth may lead to a rectovaginal fistula — an abnormal opening between the rectum and vagina. This allows feces to leak into the vagina, producing a fecal odor.

   * Cancer of the cervix or vagina.

If vaginal odor persists, consult your doctor.

nope it happens. get it checked out just in case. or you can use vagisil

whats it smell like

It's possible if the odor is very bad, and unusual for you. You might need to make an appointment with a doctor to tell her the symptoms you're having, and maybe she could diagnose the problem.

yeah it sounds like you have one... if i were you i would go see a doctor

it might be go buy monistate one night ovule it works quick..

See your doctor.

maybe esp if u have a discharge and an itch but i would go to the docs. if it itch then try some over the counter anti itch cream but if no improvements then see a doc

If you have a discharge that looks pretty nasty, it smells, and everything down there itches like crazy, then yes, you have one. But don't be alarmed. Every woman's vagina has it's own "special" smell. It may be the soap you use. Try out a different soap but unless you see unusual discharge or itch pretty bad, you should be ok. And it's not nasty. I had the same questions when I was younger. You would be surprised to hear how much is normal for down there!

its not a yeast infection.

sometimes your vagina gives off odors even if you do take showers alot.

it usually happens around puberty or in your teenage years.

Yes, it could be a yeast  infection or some bad odor.

Use that vaginal screening kit, just to check if you really do need to go to the doctor.

&&If it is not anything to worry about(after using the vaginal screening kit) us Summers Eve for the bad odor.

it could be a yeast infection. but if you are sexualy active then you may want to be checked for any stds. i think this one std called tricamonas causes a oder down there. my best advice to you is to get checked by a gynocologist.

omg that used to happend to me! but i went to the doctor and he said its just a oder. he said just to mix baking soada and milk together and that sould stop the oder if this dosent work take ur diseased *** to the doctor.

its only yeast if a whitish lumpy substance is coming out of ur vagina, may b ur vagina is actin up due 2 tha food u eat or panties u wear. May b u just need sum Eve's feminine cleansing cloths and feminine wash.

sweetie, its not a yeaste unless your itching.. if you are itching, you should go to the doctor immediatly... But the odr could possibly be just a bad discharge.. Did your cycle just end if so that could have somtheing to do with it.. but if its not itching and burning when you urinate.. then no i dont think its a yeaste... I hope things get better..
is there a possibility that you could be pregnant? fluttering could be baby movement...if you are not pregnant, it could be your period, possibly gas, or your stomach digesting something...

Your prolly about to start your  period.

Could you be about 3 months pregnant? If not then it could be uterine fybroids.

Well, assuming you are not like 4 months pregnant, than it's probably a little gas! In that case it'll pass-literally.
Yes...they will look at your income and insurance, and then depending on your situation they will either tell you how much you should pay towards it, or they will ask you for a donation (my SIL paid $10 for her bc).

i know some people got it at the health department for free so i guess.

yea in a healthquarter especially if u a teen u get it 4 free

Is he going to be okay?

okay so my brother is 19. My mom was in a wreck when she was pregnant with him, and the car rolled down the hill. When he was three months old, he developed a seizure disorder, with major seizure like every five minutes. Later when he was bout threem they found out that he had Cerebal Paulsy. Two years ago he developed Krons-Crons disease, and the other day in health class my teacher told me every student he has had that has had crons has died before they graduated high school, so my question is, will he be okay?

sorry this is so long.

the fact that he's beaten the odds already so many times is a miracle, and who's to say that he can't have many more miracles? try not to dwell on when he'll die, just try to make his life amazing and spend as much time with him as you can. you obviously care about him so you know that even if his life is short, he atleast had a good life with people who love and care for him.

im so sorry, its never fair when people's lives are cut short and when they have to live with conditions like his.

DO NOT LISTEN TO THAT IDIOT TEACHER!!

That teacher had NOOOO right to tell you such a thing, and just because he's a "health" teacher doesn't mean that he's a doctor - just a big goof! Don't worry, honey. You're brother is a strong man at 19, and will continue.

I certainly hope that he will be ok.  Try not too worry too much and try and help your brother as much as you can.

im sorry i dont think anyone on yahoo would know that

you should ask somone professional

what dose your doctor say

ps:i hope he will live

not sure but you should come to terms with the fact that he might pass away . cause there is a chance he might die , sorry

I really hope he is okay,...that's all I know what to say I'm sorry it sounds terrible

If he's lived this far hun, I'm sure he can live longer. :).

If he was gunna go, he would of gone. God is keeping him for a reason. =)

No one can say for sure how long any of us has left in this world. This teacher was listing facts but facts don't take into account miracles. Miracles of faith, love and strength happen all the time. It sounds like your brother is amongst them. Love your brother and treasure every day you have with.

That teacher was extremely insensitive and out of order saying that.  You should talk to the principal about that, or at least the school counsellor.

Are you referring to Crohn's disease?  If so, this link may reassure you: http://www.***.com/c/crohns_d...

It says people with Crohn's may enjoy pretty long healthy lives.

Don't listen to that teacher at all! At nineteen you brother seems to be a strong man. I have always wanted a brother so I would enjoy that blessing and not worry about what that idiotic teacher told you. Love him and enjoy that blessing. Best wishes :)
The shot doesn't require them to remember to take a pill and lasts for 12 weeks. I'm just wondering. Is it less safe?

The thing with the shot is that some women do *not* do well with hormonal contraceptives.  Like, serious physical and mental symptoms.  If you're taking the pill, you can always just quit taking it... if you're taking the shot, you're pretty much stuck with whatever bad side effects you've got for the next three months.

I've always taken the pill, since I've never had a problem remembering.  Some women love the shot, some women prefer the implant, the NuvaRing, or the patch.  It's nice that we have so many options to fit everyone's lifestyle.

From most reports I have read the pill is much safer than the shot.  The shot has long term effects and like the fact that i can stop BCP whenever I want to become pregnant.

Some people dont like needles.  i think it is just as safe.  i have used both and they both work the same.  the only thing is when i didnt want to be on the shot anymore it took about a year for my cycle to be regular again.

I am taking the Depo shot and have done so for about 10 years. It is very safe but long term use can have an effect on your bone density. After 5 years, doctors do a bone density test to make sure your bones are not being affected. Bone loss is a natural occurance and your body replenishes itself daily so this is not as scary as it sounds. Birth control pills can cause blood clots, weight gain and acne among other things.

If you get a shot, and then have a bad reaction to it, you're stuck, because its effects last for 3 months. If  you start taking the pill and have a bad reaction, you can stop and the side effects will quickly stop, too. It's also convenient to just go to your pharmacy. Going to the doctor every three months adds complications to your life.
